New Geng: Ipin & Fizah
November 13th, 2009 | Author: WNRI’m really gonna make this short. Sorry Ipin. I’m a bit exhausted.
Got myself a new ‘job’. ‘Applied’ for the post 9 months ago, and alhamdulillah, my application di’approve’ on the 4th November 2009 at 6:26am. Gonna keep this job till the rest of my life. InsyaAllah.
Ipin must be feeling really lucky. Or else, I won’t be able to shoot his wedding. He planned his wedding really well. We met up for a quick discussion on the flow of his wedding, where to shoot, who to shoot, what to shoot and so on. One of many of my clients yang menitik beratkan in investing good money in photography rather than something else. GOOD. Wish there will be more wedding couples like you.
I think I should charge you more, because it takes a lot of ’skill’ to make him smile, unlike his other half, gelak manjang. Which is good.
Like I said, I really have to make this short. To the KANITA staff members, enjoy the pics. Apology from me for taking too long to upload. A bit occupied with my new ‘job’. Was resting on my sofa when suddenly I realized that before Ipin makes a report to the Consumer Association of Penang, I better start uploading. Hahahahahaha.
Enjoy.

Ol’ Memories
November 9th, 2009 | Author: WNRThis post definitely brings back old times. Haidar’s reception was held at Kampung Dodol, the place where I used to visit quite oftenly when I was a kid. That time, my grandma was still around and during weekends, she would go there for a weekend overnight stay.
I can remember much about what I did there. But when my mom told me that I would chase a chicken around the whole village, it was kinda hard to believe. But maybe it is true. That was the only place that I would encounter with a chicken. Not to say that I live in a modern city, but at my place back then, the only chicken I saw was nude chicken at the market and Kentucky Fried Chickens. So to see a real live one was really different. And also, it was the place where I saw a goat, and I started screaming to me my mom that I saw a ….. well, let’s just leave it blank shall we, cause everytime my mom would tell me the story, I feel so stupid. I was 2 at that time, so fill the blank with an animal that may look like a goat.
The place is now being occupied by someone else now. And Haidar’s house is just a stone throw away.

This is the last entry for Haidar & Syuhadah. Wait for your album kay. And thank you so much for helping me that day.

Pusat Aduan
November 2nd, 2009 | Author: WNRI received a complaint last night. She asked why I didn’t update my blog. Huhuhuhu. Maybe things are a bit slow lately. So, here’s an update.
I shot Haidar & Syuhadah’s reception 2 weeks ago. Sweet couple. Things are really easy when you get a good coorporative couple. They will do as you say.
The highlight for the event would be the ‘free’ ride that the trishaw peddler gave us. Haidar and Syuhadah just sat that for a few snaps, and I think the ah pek was giving me some signals, maybe for some tip I guess. Was thinking weather I should pay him or not for the pics. I think it’s fair for me not paying him. First of all, it was he that offered to sit on his trishaw. Secondly, while they were sitting, the trishaw didn’t move even a centimeter, therefore, he burn at least 0.0000000001 kJ of energy and lastly, the ah pek gets to be on my website for free. Whoahahahaha.
Enjoy.

Just another one pic per entry. Sorry. You can click HERE for more pictures.

October 26th, 2009 | Author: WNR2 more weeks. Or maybe less. Otak tengah fikir of one thing only. MONEY. Need to give her a good place to live. Need to give her good food to eat. Gosh, can’t imagine the responsibility I have to bear.

Picture above taken from an assignment given to me by Nazzmedia. Kept calling the groom Hafiz walhal nama dia Fahmi. He looked like Hafiz from AF8. Hahahahaha.

Selamat Hari Raya
October 10th, 2009 | Author: WNRSelamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir dan Batin.
I know it is half way thru the month of Syawal, and only now I’m posting a wish to all muslims readers who is celebrating the Eid Mubarak, but since people say ‘raya sebulan’, I guess it is not too late yet. Is it really ‘raya sebulan’?
Every year, as usual, I will perform my Eid prayers at Masjid At-Taqwa, USM. But what really caught my attention and something that I still remember till this date is the Khutbah given out after the prayers. I remember two particular main points of the Khutbah. The 1st was, the fact when people keep saying ‘raya sebulan’.
The Khatib 1st started out by congratulating everyone there for going thru the month of Ramadhan. The Holy month in the Islamic calendar. It was the month where Muslims will not just fast by not eating or drinking during day time, but also to be very sincere in doing it. I think everyone knows that. Therefore, Allah created the 1st of Syawal as a day to celebrate for those who had performed their duties during the month of Ramadhan. Here is where the Khatib pointed out, that the 1st day of Syawal, is the real Hari Raya. And that is why, it is Haram to fast on the 1st day of Syawal. I really hope I get my facts right, or else, my comment box will be full of comments. Actually, what the Khatib wanted to share with all us all is that, we try hard, fought for a long time, do a lot of sacrifices, but when we have celebrate our victory, don’t celebrate for too long. We fast for 30 days, that doesn’t mean we have to celebrate for the next 30 days. It applies in all I guess. How the Khatib was reminding the students there, to work hard, to sacrifice their time to study, to prepare themselves for their exams, and once they are victorious, don’t celebrate too long. Sehari dua cukup.
The 2nd one was how the Khatib was telling out that we humans will never run away with problems. It is definitely indeed true. Everybody in this world, will encounter with problems. In school, there were the Kelab Kaunseling, Kelab Rakan Sebaya yada yada yada. Nowadays, there the Befrienders. When you got problems with some subject, you go to the lecturers for help. But the phrase “Come To ME” still rings in my head. That is what the Khatib chanted. Get closer to Allah, seek help from Him, and He will show us the way.
Just something to share. That’s all. Bukan cuba buat pandai. Don’t get me wrong. I still enjoy taking pictures.
My job resumes after raya. Alhamdulillah. And the 1st client is Haidar & Syuhadah. Haidar and I locked the deal since late last year. Then he got really really really busy with work. Working for a multi million dollar company really will squeeze your time away. See you again this October for the reception. Hope you like the pictures.

Dusty ‘ol blog
September 24th, 2009 | Author: WNRLebih dari sebulan aku tinggal blog ni. That is a loooonnggggg time. Wonder if there was any visitors.
Today is the 4th day of raya. For the 1st time beraya dengan isteri. And it is really really tiring. This Sunday bermula kembali kerja-kerja mengambil gambar.
A lot had happened during that last 45 days. I lost a grandmother, that is surely one of the events that I will remember. Was suppose to attend D & La’s wedding in KL, tapi after changing some plans earlier, I was fortunate to still be here in Penang at that time. I ended the day at the Penang General Hospital Resuscitation room.

The next day, join Diwant for a shoot that I had earlier cancelled. I cancelled because I wanted to attend D & La’s wedding. Tapi my grandmother’s funeral, I really need to go out somewhere because images were still clear in my mind of my grandmother. It was kinda a tragic scene.
I just wanna say my thanks to Idan & Haslinda for allowing me to be part of your special day. It was truly a nice gesture. And it was really a nice wedding. I really enjoy watching the groom’s parents, sungguh romantika. I guess Haslinda will be very well treated after this.

Congratulations to the both of you. And thanks again.

In case of emergency
August 31st, 2009 | Author: WNR7:20am, my phone rang. It was the boss of NazzMedia. He declared a stage of emergency. NazzMedia got a job in Penang scheduled at 9am, but his photographer is still in KL at that time. Who to turn to? Who else, Shidi to the rescue.
So at 8:30am, I made my way to Masjid Negeri. Done with solemnization, I followed the newlyweds back to their place in Bukit Gedong. It was just a few house away from the place where I use to stay when I was 5. The only house yang bertingkat, tolak tepi rumah apartment lah.

Hanim’s mother use to teach at Seri Permai, and when I have a close look, yes, I remember her mother. But not that well because she never thought me. What I remember about her mother was that my friend never submitted any of the homework given by her, cos he said that no point submitting, hantar pun kena marah, tak hantar pun kena marah. Sama ja. Hahahaha. Sorry Hanim, tapi memang lawak bila teringat zaman sekolah rendah ni.
Even Hanim studied in Seri Permai. She does look familiar to me.

That day was the day I feel that my job dah macam doktor. Diperlukan di saat kecemasan.
Once everything is done, when straight to my aunt’s place in Minden Heights, only to be surprised with and incident, and there I was, at the Resuscitation Room in GH. Will continue later.

Need a break
August 6th, 2009 | Author: WNRTired eyes. Sleepy. But must go on. Envy those who are succesful, and won’t stop till I achieve the things I want.
Today is the third time I read in the news about kes buang-buang bayi ni. 1st was in the school toilet, 2nd dibuang at some dump site (and eaten by a lizard), and thirdly a 17-year-old girl gave birth in her school toilet, and after ‘welcoming’ the newborn, slump the kid into her school bag. Super. The question that comes to my wife’s mind was, didn’t the parents notice?
It’s a crazy world we live in.
The pictures below has nothing to do with the text above. Just some pics that I took during a wedding assignment given by NazzMedia. You can see more pictures here. To Fiza’s friend, minta maaf sebab lambat sangat upload.

Reception Hazrizam & Nurul Azira
August 3rd, 2009 | Author: WNRLast part of Hazrizam & Nurul Azira. This wedding is the 1st wedding this year that I requires me to travel down south. So I took the chance by bringing my wife, mom, and my mother-in-law for a quick ‘vacation’.
One thing I’m scared of jobs outside from Penang is not being able to find the place and ending up being there late. Alhamdullilah, found the place very easily. Thanks to Nizar dulu bawa aku pusing-pusing Shah Alam during my convocation. The place he stayed during his diploma time is just a walking distance to the Hazrizam’s place.

I love the hall. Sungguh sejuk. Good HVAC system. And I really like the pelamin chairs. Sungguh classy. Kami tak sempat untuk keluar beroutdoor, so we did some indoor shoots. Sama la gak, memana pun. Asal gambar cantik sudah. And Alhamdullilah, gambar menarik (masuk bakul angkat sendiri… whoahahahahah).

So, selesai satu lagi couple. I like it when I get the chance to shoot all 3 main events in a wedding. And I would like to thank Hazrizam and Azira, and their whole family, for the warm welcome the gave me. It is good to be at your wedding. And as an Old Frees, its good to meet one of your classmates after 10 tahun tak berjumpa. Yes, last aku jumpa Hazrizam was in 1999. After he told me that dia terus pindah pergi KL after he took his Matriculation Exam after SPM, I guess memang that was the last time I saw him, because I took that exam too.
Congratulations again to the both of you. I’ll see you again later in a few more weeks (2 weeks to be exact). Your album is one of the most number of pages that I’ve ever done.
